The 2010 edition of the Spring Classic welcomes a new sponsor to the sport of mountain biking, Eqstra Holdings Ltd.

“For the fifteenth running of the event, it gives us great pleasure to announce the Eqstra Spring Classic presented by First Ascent. We are very excited to have Eqstra on board as a new sponsor, not only with Spring Classic, but in mountain biking as a whole”, comments Race Director Jenni Green.

“As a group, much fun was had as a group when Eqstra sponsored the ‘King of the Mountain’ power zone for the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge last year, that we decided to extend our sponsorship of cycling events,” says Gary Anderson from Eqstra Holdings.

"As the naming rights sponsor of the Eqstra Spring Classic, we hope your experience on this cycling event is a memorable one as you journey on your personal quest for excellence."

The Spring Classic is set to welcome the springtime air on Sunday the 5th September at Helderfontein Estate.

Just north of Fourways, Helderfontein Estate hosts undiscovered trails and land that has previously never hosted a mountain bike event. It boasts new and exciting routes that ultimately link up the best and most exciting sections of the route from last year, incuding the Blue Hills 4x4 track.

Adding to the amazing routes lined up, along with the new venue, the first 1 200 participants who enter the Eqstra Spring Classic will receive a unique First Ascent Trail tee, a moisture management t-shirt valued at R215 absolutely Free!
